Our principal asset, Jay D. Carter, MCSE, has ten years of hands-on experience handling difficult IT challenges as an IT professional. His computing experience as a hobbyist dates back to the late 1970s, when the TRS-80 debuted.

His early experience was grounded in end-user support, both over the telephone and in-person. While this focus has widened to the enterprise scope over the years, he has never lost sight of the fact that every system must support and be accepted by users.

Jay has designed Microsoft Exchange networks for large manufacturing organizations and small financial firms with the end user in mind. Email has be come a crucial business tool, second only to the telephone in many companies. Users have come to trust the Microsoft Exchange mailbox in the same way they trust their desk phone.

More recently Jay has expanded his expertise to include Cognos Business Intelligence tools. Cognos can provide critical insight into the gigabytes of data that a large enterprise accumulates, often making the difference between success and failure in today's competitive business environment. Jay has developed sales reporting solutions using Cognos Improptu and PowerPlay for companies with sales in excess of US$100 million.
